Margarets Turn

Saturday 14th.

The Orkneys , it was a most enjoyable 4 days, we really made the most of the time we were there. So much to see, the scenery was wonderful and the historical sites were interesting, we saw and visited everything we could in the time we had. I think the 5000BC neolithic village at Skara Brae was most interesting.

We are back with Stephen after a trip to Derby to see Margaret and Albert, nice to catch up and see everybody. Margaret gave us a tour of the sights Derby and with some history. Spent the night in Belper and next day went to Chatsworth House and saw the house and garden. It is a splendid garden and amazing house. Drove back to London via the Peak District, quite an adventure driving in that area.

Weekend back in London, nice sunny day so out into the garden, main object was mowing the woods, out with the mower and the brush cutter. Robbin on the mower, Stephen with the brushcutter, I did some weeding and cutting back in the garden. Chinese meal last night.
